This is a plan for a simple wooden toolbox suitable for beginner woodworkers. Requires tablesaw, bandsaw, mitre saw, drill press and various hand tools.

Here is a simple little welding practice project. It’s mostly made with 1″ and 2″ flat stock but you could easily modify to use whatever material you happen to have.

We endface the wheels in the lathe to give them a little bit of a machining intro on this project as well.

I challenge my students to modify the basic vehicle, Some add axles and suspension – this is good problem solving and design work for them.

This is an excellent intro to woodworking project. Can be done entirely with hand tools or incorporate power tools. Incorporates some design, measurement and layout as well as cutting and finishing work. Highly recommended as an intro project. PDF plan is included below.
