Mini Mud Truck Welding Project

Here is a simple little welding practice project. It’s mostly made with 1″ and 2″ flat stock but you could easily modify to use whatever material you happen to have.

We endface the wheels in the lathe to give them a little bit of a machining intro on this project as well.

I challenge my students to modify the basic vehicle, Some add axles and suspension – this is good problem solving and design work for them.
